Pedestrian facilities are aimed at providing proper walking infrastructure and environment to promote in cities needs serve the desired requirements of users. It is important assess level service (LOS) provided by such facilities. Various guidelines available for assessing LOS sidewalks, midblock crossings pedestrians along carriageway. However, factors considered assessment diverse no single guideline that comprehensively takes into account all variables relevant both sidewalks mixed land use settings.
 This work thus attempts identify their underlying also relative importance determining pedestrian areas. For this purpose, study systematically identifies a comprehensive list 20 associated with from literature. A survey was conducted heterogeneous group 720 Patna, India find perceptions above identified variables. The significant were then using Exploratory Factor Analysis factor structure confirmed Structural Equation Model data. Five namely Infrastructure, Crossing issues, Security, Sidewalk encroachments Safety 13 observed crossing facility conditions predominantly influence perception findings can be used urban planners focusing improvement efforts
